Kitty picked up 2 points going WB to finish at the Greater Ocala Dog Club under Col. Joe B. Purkhiser.
Under judge Mr. Geir Flyckt-Pedersen, Kitty (Mandalay Gateside The Cat's Meow) went BOV over specials for a 5 point major. She was handled by co-owner and trainer Kathy Walker. Kitty needs only a single to finish!
Big thank you to the repro vets and support staff at Broadview Animal Hospital! Their skillful handling has resulted in Kiss being confirmed pregnant this morning via ultrasound. Thanks to my darling husband who in addition to playing ultrasound tech also ran countless blood samples (even on his days off) to monitor her progesterone levels.
Elka (Calibre Mandalay Gateside Because I'm Gold) was WB/BOV over the specials for a 4 point major under Jim Noe, handled by co-owner Jaye Athy. Elka is also co-owned with her breeder Susan Kaelin.
We made it to Milford for 2 days in the new dome show sight. Jade (Gateside Mandalay Green with Envy) did well with the AstroTurf (a new footing for her) and the air lock doors (new for both of us). She's really starting to come together at almost 12 months old and went WB/BW/BOS and BBE both days for a total of 3 points. Judges were Warner Cespedes and Laura LaBounty.
Litter brother Spirit (Gateside Mandalay Gold Adventure) stopped by for a visit at the show and was spotted by the 'talent scouts' for the magazine In the Company of Dogs. He sat for his first photo shoot like a pro (probably due to the great training efforts by his owner Darlene). We look forward to getting proofs and seeing his lovely face in print. |
