Pedigree for Styx
Blaze (Gateside Mandalay Hot as Blazes)
Styx is the son of Ember (Mandalay Gateside River of Fire, HIC) x REO (Calibre's Riding the Storm Out). His first show (and only show so far) was CCA National where at 6 months and 4 days he took 2nd in the 6-9 AOAC class..
Styx did not pass our rigid criteria for breeding on his second round of health screenings at a year of age. He is a beautiful young dog and a great example of his breed. It was so very hard to part with this puppy, but he is very excited to play dog show with his new family where he will be loved, spoiled and when the time is right, neutered.

Dog Walking
We are pleased to be working with Heather of While You're Away Farm Care and Pet Sitting to offer premium daytime pet care. Services are centered around dog walking and afternoon visits.
If you work and worry about leaving your pet home alone during the day we can help. Did you know boredom and lack of exercise are the primary cause of destructive behavior in dogs?
A brisk walk, a Kong stuffed with goodies, a brief training session can help relieve boredom and help your dog relax while you're away. Are you house training a puppy? They need frequent trips outside that often conflict with regular work hours. Help your puppy be more comfortable and learn faster with let out services. Older pets often need to be let out more often, don't stress your older dog, make sure they get a potty break even if you have to be away all day. Obesity is a huge health problem with pets too. Just like with humans, being overweight stresses your four legged friend's joints and heart. Extra weight can lead to diabetes and has been proven to shorten life expectancy. We can help you get and keep your pet in shape with gradually increasing exercise programs (veterinary approval may be required).

The Small Print
We require 12 hours notice for cancellations. Failure to cancel will result in a charge of 1/2 of the agreed upon fee for services. Please contact us for a pre-care interview a week prior to your desired start of service date. We want to make sure we provide the best possible care for your pet and get to know them and their needs. We require two keys from our clients, one is kept by Katherine and the other by Heather. This ensures that in the event of an emergency one of us can get to your pet providing a continuation of care regardless of events in our lives. We feel that walking large numbers of dogs together is not safe and diminishes the walking experience for the dogs. We work with a limited number of clients on a given day to make sure that each animal gets the care they deserve and do not work with multiple dogs (unless they are from the same household) at one time.
